Shodo and Origami

Shodo is a Jappanese caligraphy, the way of artistic writing. Its beauty and has spiritual power. Shodo teach us to obey the rule to bring in the beautiful rhitym. Have been lucky, i can follow this free workshop at tobucil and taught directly by crafters and artist from kyoto, Japan.

The equiepment

The brush, there are two kind of brushes the slender one and the thick one. The ink, is a hard-dried wooden stick and can be converted into usable ink when rubbed with water into inkstone. Need a concentration When you rubbed the ink to keep the bottom of the ink, flat 

And here is my name translation in shodo, and the way to write. The meaning of my name in jappanese is healthy. I'm trully blessed.

Teas are full of healthy goodies, work as antioxidizing agent. 

It will avoid my body from stroke attact.

And made this brooch can stimulate serotonin release. 

Serotonin known as "happy hormone". It can explain why i always feel pleasant after doing this. Xo..xo..xo...

Tracing Class

Tracing? It`s familiar to me. I do this technique when i sew. And when i was ten or eleven years old, i also do this technique to draw a map. You need tracing paper to transfer the image to another surface as well as part of an established system. You can use tracing for sketches or any finished artwork. Shading is also fun to do, and i have to learn more. Shading can develope a volume by recognise the pattern of the light, medium  and dark value of the subjects. Thanks to Tanto for teaching me this.

From The 1st Craft Swaps

Look, what i found!! How happy i am when odin give me this stuffs. Its my 1st craft swaps i followed on saturday 25th february. Its awesome, all they've done its really wonderfull. Made with passion and love, and the important thing is, we made with our own hand. That is our way to  be gratefull in everyday life. This first swaps followed by twelve people, it means each people receive twelve different stuffs.

Gathering  is always fun. Unfortunetely me and  wieny could not come. Me, i'm on duty  that day. But i can imagine, that day is full of joy. I can't wait for the next swaps party.

Photography Commercial Class with Sondhiar

Join this class made me know everything about how to make our product more interesting to see. Sondhiar, the tutor, very enthusiastic, kind, and give us every information we have to know about photo commercial. How to capture the image, how to take an interesting angle, how to photograph ascecories, like necklace, ring, brachelet and so on. And the best part of this class is food photography session. Hhhmmm Yummmy, we take a picture all the food before we ate it. Hopefully, there are further class and i'll be the first to join.

A Nice Gift : Handmade Marketplace Book

It was great Friday, and i feel great too. Everything goes as usually. Unexpected thing happened when i came to fini's house. She said : " happy birthday" . Do i get my birthday? cause it happened two weeks ago. I did not expect this nice little surprise. And another surprise was...she gave me a present. Wow, 'Handmade Nation' book. And she sew the bag by her own to wrapped the gifts. Really nice little surprise!!!

I knew about handmade nation for the first time from my sister. Handmade nation gave her the book. This book tells about how to sell your craft locally, globally and online. Its divided in three parts.

Part one tells about how to get to know yourself and your business, including how to brand your business, define your customer and develop name and logo.

Part two tells about how to market our product, how important to make a connection to your craft community, how to make your blog successful, how important to advertise and make publicity

Part three tells about how to get down selling. This book direct us how to participate craft fair and starting how to develop your own craft fair. And the interesting thing is this book also tell us how to get creative in selling options and opportunities.

Thanks to fini and tanto who believe in me that i could be a success business woman. Your Prayers is the best gift in my life (..and the book of course hehehe)

Recipe Book : A Heritage From My Mother

This book is a special book, not only for my mom, but also for me and my sisters. This book had already accompanied us since i was a little girl. If we had a special occasion like eid Mubarak celebration, she always looking for a recipe from this book. And she asked me to help her whisked the dough. At that time we did not have electric mixer yet. We only used a spiral whisk and we are usually whisk batter alternately to avoid hand sores.

Every recipe in this book use no food additives, and of course it is good for our health. I like her handwriting with old spelling, its so tidy even though in some parts i could not read. She wrote this recipe since she wasn't married yet. Her passion is cooking. And she love to share tested recipe to our neighbour. She also often gave a tutorial for the new recipe in her community. 
For the next cooking project I'll test the recipe in this book one by one.

It was not only cooking recipe, I found some traditional treatment to cure some diseases. And formulation to dispense vaporub ointment and cream soap. Yea, she made her own cream soap and its more cheaper than buy in the market. Every month she bought a package of cream soap ingredients, and my father help her to mix the ingredients.

Mom, thank you for all you have already inherited to us. Love you always !!!

Nice Little Surprises

 

 

What a wonderful life when you are surrounded by loving family and friends. Thousand wises sent for my happiness, health, luck and blessing, on my birthday. Wow...i feel great.

Family and Friends will always be the best gift in my life.

Little surprises make my life more colorful. And this wallet, became a nice little surprise from my sister. A handmade wallet, made from wall paper and made by paperpleased. Its really nice gift, thank you.

Another surprise came from my youngest sister. She knows that i like cooking very much, so she gave me this dvd movies : Best chef. Its a Korean Movie, and i wish i could be a best chef too. Thanks for this inspiring gift.

Well Planned storage can change your life and your room will be avoid from an assault on chaos. Its always happen to me before i organised all my craft stuff. Forget where i put this, or put that. I need a simple storage that i can store in my small room. And of course i need a cheap one.

One Note Samba

This is just a little samba

Nice song, and I'm in love with Astrud Gilberto version, she has a clever voice. And this nice notebook made by a clever hand too, a present from my sister. She made it self. She sew the cover, stitch the note..ya, its a book binding note. I like the cover, the colour combination and the beads. She is very talented and she is an expert in book binding making.

And this another nice notebook is a present from my youngest sister. Its cool. She has a clever hand too. She loves knitting very much, but she is also doing crocheting. She teach me how to knit. And her great creation is about coral life. She made an exhibition at Tobucil : Out From The Deep

Now, i can organize my activity..take a note about my journey, my life and all the interesting. Yea..this is just a little samba built upon a single note...la..la..la.
