Crochet 'Mukena' Bag

This little bag, crochet to change my old mukena bag that tattered a week after i bought it. I need a little bag to put my mukena that i could carry easily. I crochet this bag in the midst boredom knit my new project : knit cable motif for my new bag.

I should make the bottom of the bag in oval shapped. I think, it will be more nicer than this round shapped. Anyway, i like this bag.

Nice Little Surprises

 

 

What a wonderful life when you are surrounded by loving family and friends. Thousand wises sent for my happiness, health, luck and blessing, on my birthday. Wow...i feel great.

Family and Friends will always be the best gift in my life.

Little surprises make my life more colorful. And this wallet, became a nice little surprise from my sister. A handmade wallet, made from wall paper and made by paperpleased. Its really nice gift, thank you.

Another surprise came from my youngest sister. She knows that i like cooking very much, so she gave me this dvd movies : Best chef. Its a Korean Movie, and i wish i could be a best chef too. Thanks for this inspiring gift.

Crochet Orange Purse

Its a very simple purse and easy to crochet. I need something to organize all my electronics accessories : handphone charger, camera accessories, and laptop battery.Then i have an idea to crochet this purse to place all of them.

Put them in one place will be easier for me to look for and also more easier to bring it when i have to travel for few days. I will not be confuse again looking for where i put all my electronics accessoris.

Purple Hobo Bag

Last Saturday i started to crochet a hobo bag. A hobo bag is a bag or a purse carried over the shoulder with single strap. The shape is typically crescent. Some smaller bag or purse has the shape like a half moon. The large bag vaguely follow the crescent shape but it is not so noticeable.
 

This time i didn't mix the yarn, but still use double strand of yarn to make the bag more solid. Pick a yarn and pick the color is always an interesting moment. I pick this soft purple one, to mix and match with my clothes. Yea, i have an obsession to crochet, knit or sew my own bag. Too many fake branded bags in the market. I prefer buy no branded bags than a fake one.

Crochet this hobo bag is easy and fun, even though without pattern. I just use chain and single crochet, nothing else. Then i put two rings in the strap to make an accent. I also put a flap with a big button. I make the button using my pin, covered with a round crochet. so i can remove and change the button to refresh the look.

Crochet Bag For My Mom

My mom asked me to crochet a bag for her, while I'm  crocheting my blue floral bag. After i complete my bag, I started to crochet a bag for her. Like my blue floral bag, I mix two types of yarn. I have a black velvet yarn and blue fluffy acrylic yarn. I put one black flower in the middle. Not bad i think, but I am not satisfied with the rope, I put too wide. 

Its a new record for me, i could  finished it only in a day. Really awesome (ha ha self praise) !!! She like it very much and she push to sew the inner by her self. Yea, Her hobby is sewing. She still sew her own clothes. And on the sidelines of her times she was sewing sequins and beads on her clothes or her veil. Enjoy your bag, mom !!!

Blue Floral Bag

 

This bag made two weeks ago. I can't believe, I could finished it only in a week for the bag, a day to make the flowers and a day to sew the zippers and the inner. 

For the bag, I mix two types of yarn,  plain blue cotton and  patterned-blue acrylic yarn. I choose an easy crochet pattern to make this solid bag. Chain and single crochet are two basic stitches I have been  used.

 

I need twelve flowers to put along the top of the bag. I use bobble crochet in the circle of  the flowers. And for the petals I use single crochet and double crochet.

 

Each flowers stitch along the top of the bag using hand stitch.

The zippers sewn on the bag also using hand stitch and so does the inner. I found a fabric that has been embroidered with ribbon embroidery that I made about a year ago, for the inner.

It looks nice with blue  floral along the top of the bag. And i wish, everyday that i go through in this year will be as beautiful as the flower that i made.

Knitting Needle Case

Finally, I can organize my knitting needles. I found this fabric and i think its cute with snoopy motif. Then I have an idea to make a needle case.
On the outside I combine two motif at once, snoopy and plain cotton

In the inside, i use only snoopy motif. I also put an elastic, to hold my needle not so easy to pull out.

And now i can bring my needles wherever i go. Its easy to carry, cause I put a handle on it.

Purple Laptop Case

This is my first laptop case. I sew it yesterday in a hurry, coz i wanna used it that day. I used imitation leather as a material, combine with my polka dot jappanese cotton fabric. Inside it, i used dacron as a layer. My sister buy this leather at Cibaduyut. Cibaduyut is a center of shoes industry in Bandung. There, we could find anykind of shoes and we could also buy the material, such as leather, imitation leather, dacron, etc.



I made a mistake on the construction, actually. I should made a pattern first, before cutting; measure the right dimenstion, made a pattern, then sew. The mistaken part was at zip. I did not measure ths part correctly. I forgot to overstates the stitches on the left and right. That's why this part was tight and hard to zip.




This was another mistake that i made. I put the cover sideways, coz i'm not put a mark at the place where i will put the cover, both right and left.






And i put this decoration sideways too. HHhh..i'm really not satisfied with my work this time. But i'm not give up, i'll make another laptop case next time, with good planning and good time. This time i learned a lot in sewing technique, especially how to sew zip on a bag. Next time, i'll sew it properly.
